Cypress Lodge Heritage Tour

The Cypress Lodge Heritage tour gives visitors an opportunity to visit Fred Babcock's residence on the Crescent B Ranch: The Cypress Lodge. This tour allows visitors access to an area of the ranch previously off limits to members of the public. Begin your experience learning about E.V. Babcock, the founder of the Babcock Lumber Company, who purchased the property way back in 1914. You'll also hear about E.V.'s son, Fred who welcomed visitors to his property, of which he was extremely proud, long before Babcock Wilderness Adventures began running eco-tours for the public. Upon your arrival at the lodge, you'll have a chance to explore the residence before we invite you to the table to enjoy a fully catered lunch. Then, relax on the screened porch overlooking a view of the Telegraph Cypress Swamp only seen by a select few. This tour isn't just about the lodge. Hear stories about the lodge, watch a video of our cowboys in action, and even meet a resident of Telegraph Cypress Swamp up close. Once your time at the lodge comes to an end, your adventure continues as you board your buggy and complete the Babcock Wilderness Adventure's famous eco-tour.

PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS - Second Saturday of every Month!!

Tell your photographer friends there is something new at the Babcock Ranch in Punta Gorda. Every second Saturday of the month, weather permitting, there will be a special photography tour available.

Join with fellow photographers at the Babcock Ranch for some unique photo experiences. We are planning a 2 1/2 hour tour through different Eco Systems and our working cattle ranch. As we drive through the ranch we will be stopping for photo ops along the way. You will be able to get off the buggy and get up close and personal with our wildlife. We have the benefit of the wildlife being accustomed to us going by in our buggies so there are some great opportunities waiting.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please call 1-800-500-5583 to make a reservation. Call early to be sure and get a seat.

$39.95 plus tax ($42.75)
