Take a Ride on the Wild Side with Babcock Wilderness Adventures

Enjoy a 90-minute Swamp Buggy Tour through the Babcock Ranch and Telegraph Cypress Swamp. Experienced guides offer in-depth descriptions of birds, animals, plants, and the cattle and horses that are raised on the ranch. Visitors will see panthers, alligators, and many other animals living in Southwest Florida. All tours are by reservation only. Educational programs consisting of natural history, Florida history, and history of the Babcock Ranch, as well as a personal appearance by a Florida critter, is available at no cost.

Also at the tour area you'll find a museum featuring Florida history, Babcock operations, and natural history artifacts. There also are exhibits featuring a movie set used by Warner Brothers to film entitled "Just Cause" starring Sean Connery in site.

Our gift shop features items of special interest to Babcock Ranch, the Wilderness Tour and Florida wildlife. The "Country Store" is open before and after tour times.

Picnic Facilities are available year-round. You can bring your own picnic lunch or enjoy a lunch of BBQ pork sandwiches, hot dogs and other fun food items in our Gator Shack Restaurant, which is open seasonally.

I-75 to exit 164 to Highway 17 head North one mile to State Road 74 and go East 15 miles to State Road 31 then head South - look for Tour Entrance 6 miles on left

From the South:
I-75 to exit 143 head East on Route 78 to State Road 31 and go North 9 miles - Look for Tour Entrance on right
